A virtual tour of The Ivy in LA, a palace of patina and beauty…

I’ve been in Los Angeles for a couple of weeks helping my baby bird settle into her new job at fabulous Amber Interiors. We’ve been careful as can bee but when the county opened outdoor dining we just had to go to our fav fabulous restaurant The Ivy, and today, you can too and without even putting on a mask.

White beamed ceilings, French antiques, blue & white china on yellow walls

Dining outside, even on a busy Robertson Boulevard, is an absolute plethora of patina pleasure.

We were celebrating my fledglings birthday and the fulfillment of her dreams to be a designer, so we toasted with mimosas, mine, made with fresh strawberry juice was quite good,

but her passionfruit mimosa was beyond splendid, I am definitely going to try to create those if I ever host a brunch again.

Another great brunch idea I may have to borrow is the crab cake eggs benedict, sans english muffin, just the crab cake, poached egg and sauce hollandaise, they add a melange of herbs to their sauce, I personally prefer the classic Julia Child recipe.

Ready to go inside? We can sneak a selfie in the powder room before I show you around.
