blanc blu marché, Nice, France…
On Mondays at the Cours Salaya, the fruit and flower vendors take a day off to make space for an enormous brocante {antiques ~ bric~a~brac). This has been a part of my weekly routine, and here I’ve found many items for ma maison {more details on that coming soon}. You never know what you may find from week to week, but I’ve noticed there always seems to be an abundance of blue and white treasures.
Certain items regularly peak my curiosity, like this toilet, wouldn’t you love to visit the mansion in which it used to live??
The porcelain pieces are certainly not limited to things that belong in the bathroom, interesting pieces that can be used throughout the house and that come from all over the globe can be found.
Did you see the “Feeling Delftish” post from Slim Paley? If you like blanc~blu, you’ll love it!.
Do you like seltzer bottles? I loved all of the shades of blue.
We found some wonderful art.
Captain Splendid couldn’t leave this one behind.
Et, pour moi? I had to have this souvenir of the historic Negresco and the Promenade des Anglais.
I’ve been tempted by this fabric each week, it’s a beautiful thick cotton~linen blend that I am sure used to hang in an incredible bedroom.
But there aren’t enough pieces to create my dream bed, so I’ll just keep passing it by.
I think this handsome little picnic set will be useful, however.
Love these.
