The bouquet that was meant to be….

My sister is in town or a few days. We both enjoy a good market, so that has been a priority for us,
The daily market in Menton is in a lovely old market house near the sea. We went there one day and I came across a stand that had a number of herb plants. I’ve planted a little herb garden here so I thought I’d take a look to see if there was anything available I could add to it.
I came across a stand with many herb plants run by an older Italian woman. She was very small in size but had a bold personality. As I was looking at her herb plants, she started talking to me in rapid Italian. I couldn’t really understand what she was saying, so I just smiled and nodded. Then she thrust a large bouquet in my hands and demanded 3 euros. I kind of laughed, but gave her the money and kept moving through the market.
I wasn’t really looking for flowers, the house is pretty well “floriated” at this time. Mostly with white, fragrant flowers. But I must say these flowers look very pretty and cheerful and I am quite happy to have them.
Hope you come across some beautiful surprises this weekend!
