I’m afraid this may be as far as I will get in regards to decorating for Halloween this year. I’ve seen costumes and a few decorations in some of the shops, and in Beaulieu~sur~mer, they have a celebration planned for les enfants, this holiday has been growing in popularity in France over the past decade.
I usually go “all out” for Halloween but this year, somehow, with the warm weather, decorating for Halloween doesn’t seem right. There is no lack of pumpkins or squash around however. In the markets you can buy the whole piece or just a slice or two.
If you need some Halloween inspiration, however, I have some for you in the back room. To see what the market usually looks like this time of year, including some spirited fun for the adults who come by on All Hallows Eve, click on treats. Click on Beast Bourguignon to see my favorite Halloween supper; and click on Chocolate Covered Tarantulas to see how to make the most spookily delicious, no~bake Halloween treats ever.
For ideas on decor, you can click on graveyard, floating ghosts, bats and birds, carniverous plants and of course pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins.
Oh, and if you’re wondering what to do you with your massive pumpkins after the holidays, you can click on Frosted Pumpkins.

I haven't really gone all out this year in terms of decorating, either. I really love the idea of frosted pumpkins though!
