A great group of dads and kids collaborated to continue a marvelous tradition on Sunday: a communal Mother’s Day brunch. I must say they really out did themselves this year! It was a yummy
day for a lucky group of mummies!
The buffet made my head reel with the selection and beautiful presentations.
I loved the coral roses aligned with this succulent coral king crab.
Continuing on the coral and succulent theme, this salmon, simply poached with onions, tomatoes and citrus was as delicious at it was beautiful.
Is there a dish that signifies al fresco dining more than a salad caprese? I loved the choice of grape and cherry tomatoes in this version, with plenty of roughly torn leaves of basil and a sprinkle of pinenuts.
Mother Nature did her bit too, offering us a wonderfully warm and sunny day.
Wonderful food and an idyllic setting plus vinos and desserts galore led to an afternoon when the world slowed down just a bit,
to~do lists, emails and phone calls seemed to fade away and lingering with good friends and family became the most important focus.
Thank you dads and kids for creating such a splendid day for us!
Um, Moms….. Father’s Day is coming up….we’d better get planning….. I’m happy to host!
Emily-
I wish I lived closer to you! This looks amazing! And again, you share gorgeous images.
Happy Mother's Day if I missed, and
