Blue Sky is the very first step in the Imagineery process, That phase where “the sky’s the limit.”
The page is blank, and no idea is too big or too small,
too realistic or too far-fetched.
Each notion is a vital part of the shared vision.
Every thought helps mold, shape and improve the “Big Idea”
The only rule during this time of inspiration?
“There Are No Rules.”
Before heading back to our northern land, there was a last minute detour to Disneyland “the happiest place on earth”. Over the years of taking the kids to Disneyland, I have learned to enjoy that thrill of the rides through them. I was especially happy to share this trip with the kids, some time to put behind the pressures of exams, college applications, and everything else that comes with the adolecent years. It was great to share sheer goofiness and laughter, to run with reckless abandon and to collaboratively scheme on how to avoid all of the lines.
It is easy to get frustrated, and more than a little irritated at Disneyland as you navigate your way through the mass of humanity.
When I find myself becoming a little too snide, I try focus on the amazing force of creativity and imagination that turned this formerly isolated citrus orchard into a place that draws in millions of people each year. The Imagineers, as they are called, combine imagination with engineering to create the “magic”; from the major structures down to the tiniest detail. Their spirit reminds me to always keep an open mind when approaching any situation. I wanted to share their motto {above} with you as we move into the weekend and Spring.
In the Blue Sky Cellar, Disney gives us a glimpse into the environment in which the Imagineers work including the story boards, models and tidbits of inspiration that led to the creation of the park features we know, and some that are coming in the near future.
I wonder if they are suggesting that vino helped to fuel their creative juices?

Wow! Food for thought here!
I love Disney World, which is in Orlando, much more than my children did. There is so much to see, and to leave everything behind and just into this world id wonderful. Ah, to feel like a child again.
There really is so much there, and you wonder how someone thought up the enormous amount of creativity.
Happy Saturday Emily.
