Despite the chilling cold and gray weather we’ve had here in the PNW (though I shouldn’t complain, we’ve had only one small funnel cloud sighting, and it didn’t touch down), the tulips in our fertile Skagit Valley are in their full splendor!
My favorites are the stunningly large and colorful French Tulips.

Man O man, I'm a sucker for tulips. I think the only flower that makes me swoon more is a peony. If I had seen tulips for a dollar a stem, I may have bought them out!! Lovely. M.

How beautiful!! When we lived in the city, there was a wonderful florist near us and my husband used to occasional bring me French tulips – I just love them – an amazing feat of nature!
