Each year the Nordland Garden Club on Marrowstone Island raises funds by selling customized wreaths, this year my wreaths were far beyond my expectations! They came embellished with sweet birds and feathers and grand ribbons.
So, I loved every 24 inches of this lovely circle of greens, they look so splendid over the doors and windows in our courtyard.
But for my two front doors I had a more grandiose visions, I like to adorn them with 36″ wreaths. Yes, I wanted the best of both worlds and figured out how to have it and you can too.
I bought 2 – 36″ wreaths to pair with 2 – 24″ wreaths.
First, I laid the smaller wreath face down on the counter and then placed the 36″ wreath face down on top of it with the smaller ring centered in the larger wreath ring.
I cut 5 – 8″ lengths of paddle wire and wired the rings together to secure them at 5 different points around the circle.
When I turned them over and gave them a little fluffing I had the grandiose, gorgeous, lush wreath of my dreams to adorn my front doors.
