a bouquet the Easter bunny will love…

A lily bouquet is always fabulous because they are simple to make, beautiful and fragrant and they last for such a long time! Lilies (though we’ve used Casablanca’s instead of Easter Lilies) are the traditional flower for Easter. To add a little whimsy to your bouquet, you could add some carrots to the display.

Here is how you can do it:

Buy carrots with the stems attached. Soak them in a sink and gently rub off any soil and break off any yellow stems.

Fill the vase with a mix of greens. The greens provide a nice canvas and support for the lilies. When you arrange the greens think of the shape you want to have for your final bouquet, this is the framework.

Slide the carrots into the vase, between the glass and the stems of the greens, allowing the carrot tops to flop freely.

Trim the ends of the lily stems and place them in the greens. Use the shorter stems around the perimeter and longer stems in the center to create this shape.

The Easter bunny will certainly be generous to a home with this bouquet!
