Fleur Couture…

I was absolutely overwhelmed by the botanical beauty I came upon as I previewed the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival the other night at the Arboretum Foundation’s annual opening night party. I love this event because it allows you to see all of the flowers and displays when they are at their freshest without all of the crowds and support a very important cause.

Fleurs de Villes invited local florists to use their creativity and thousands of flowers and plants to bring these mannequins to life and give them each their own unique style. The mannequins will be judged and awards will be given for a number of categories, one of which is the fan’s choice,

so, I’d love to know which one is your favorite?

Please let me know by clicking on COMMENTS at the bottom of the page after your review.

The winners will be announced on March 1.

I think this one by Casablanca Floral was my favorite.

I loved the tres~textured green handbag and the green~on~green headress,

also, the floral shoes and asparagus fern stockings.

But, it was the luscious fragrant orange coat, contrasting all of the green, that really put me over the edge and pushed “Francesca” to the top of my list.

Look at the fabulous Pieris flower cuffs and how the coat is lined with deep aubergine and green ti leaves.

Here, we can study Flirty Fleur’s sleek beauty, adorned in Ti leaves..

with a thick floral collar and bracelets,

a bouquet of a belt,

and this lush blooming train.

She even has a parasol made of woven ti leaves, trimmed in orchids.

Leah Erickson created this sumptuous floral ball gown.

From head to toe, this next vision exudes subtle floral elegance.

I adore the combination of the pale yellow, bronze and white roses with the contrasting blue hydrangeas, grape hyacinths and complementary yellow daffodils.

Can you believe all of this lavish floral layering?

SO complexly alluring and creative!

Here’s the wedding dress of all wedding dresses!

I have a deep affection for this peach and sage color combination on this avant~garde model.

Are you as infatuated with this fitted pearlescent skirt of Lunaria, contrasted with wild Spanish Moss created by Ondine Floral  as I am?
