It is hard to believe that I published my first post on Splendid Market almost 9 years, and nearly 900 posts ago. It was my passion for forcing quince buds to bloom indoors that finally inspired me to do it {along with a New Years Eve toboggan ride when I tore my meniscus, forcing me off the slopes and the tennis courts for months}.
A lot has changed on Splendid Market, in my life and in our world since then, but there is one thing that remains the same. That is the magic of nature that allows me to bring these tight green buds on those dark, thorny branches indoors on some of the coldest, darkest days of the year…
and watch them explode into these delicate, papery blooms annually, without fail.
To see how you can do the same in your home, every year, with ease, click below to read the very first Splendid Market post “Winter Blossoms” :
Thank you so very much, loyal Splendid Market readers for all of your support and interest in the notions I share.
You make day with every click, comment and question.
I hope you will continue to follow along on my endless pursuit of the most splendid food, flowers, fêtes, finds and faraway places to bring to you.
Thank you again, I hope you have a beautiful and splendid day.
