The best way to enjoy the full wet and wild experience on the Mediterranean, short of renting a boat, it to hike along the many trails that extend along the coastline. Some of the trails have more hills and stairs than others but with a pair of tennis shoes most people will be fine walking them, and many people even like to run them.
The trails are all open to the public and along the way, you’ll see some some stunning swimming situations, built for the lucky sea front home owners.
Many, such as this trail going around Cap d’Antibes, will finish up on a nice sandy beach, so you can reward yourself for your efforts with a toes~in~the~sand lunch of a Salad Nicoise at Plage Keller.
Or, head to the patio at Hotel Baie Dorée for grilled fish and an incredible view of the bay.
If you’re heading to the South of France, I hope you’ll have a chance to take a walk on the wild side of the Med, it will give you an entirely different perspective of this part of the world.
