I was first introduced to the glorious clothing of
Calypso St. Barth when I opened a gift under the tree from Mr. Splendid. Ever since, I’ve had a long distance love affair with their island~chic, adventure~inspired apparel. The designs are uniquely timeless, the fabrics richly textural and the embellishments allow me to look “finished” with very little effort. Each piece I’ve procured has become an enduring go~to choice in my wardrobe. So, you can imagine how thrilled I was when they opened a Calypso boutique right here, in Seattle. And, you can imagine that it would have been quite impossible for me to turn down an offer to host a party there.

If you are in the area, I hope you’ll join me for an evening escape to explore Calypso’s Spring Collection on Thursday, February 27 from 6-8 in the beautiful new boutique in University Village. This store is larger than many of their other stores, so it is filled with their textural home decor pieces, making it an exotically enticing spot for a party. There will be refreshments, and I have some takeaway gifts that will help you to thaw out and get ready for Spring. If you’re not able to come, don’t worry, you can be a cyber~jetsetter, because I’ll share all of the highlights of the evening with you, beginning with this sneak preview of part of the collection. What’s more, if you send me your mailing address, I’ll even mail you one of the party favors, so everyone can be included!

Last year, when we were suddenly traveling to St. Barth for the first time, because Mr. Splendid was invited to sail in the regatta Les Voiles de Saint~Barth, I had the chance to live out one of my dreams, to visit the original boutique which was born on this colorful island in the French West Indies.
Now, come away with me, let’s take a tour of the clothing and the natural beauty and charm of the island of St. Barthlemy, FWI.
Bleus et blancs…
Oh Emily! You are going to have the best time with this party. Do you have a reserved parking spot out front with your name yet?
Cheers!
