I hope you are having a wonderful Fourth of July! We’ll have an extended celebration this year because on Orcas Island they will hold the Fourth of July parade on the Saturday after the 4th again this year. Last year, it was a same situation and my neighbors granddaughter was very upset to have to go home on the 5th and miss the Fourth of July parade.
So, they called all of their island neighbors to see if we could come out in our island cars a create a special parade for their granddaughter, and of course, we were all happy to oblige.
Everyone dressed in their red, white and blue finery.
grabbed a flag or two
lined up,
and took a few turns around town.
We mystified a few people, to be sure. But we all had a great time.
And Dylan and her grandparents were very happy.
