St. Barths is a mecca for luxury shopping, Hermes, Gucci, Cartier, they’re all there. There’s also a plethora of boutiques filled with gorgeous, unique, funky, flowy beach wear including, my fav, the original Calypso St. Barth. This is also a great place to window shop, or as the French say “léche~vitrine” – which literally means to lick the windows.
Hands down, the most popular window display on the main shopping strip in Gustavia during my visit was at Louis Vuitton. I think everyone was just dying with curiosity as to what it would feel like to slide onto their luxurious leather hammock for a warm weather nap,
and dream a little dream for awhile.
Hoping you’ll have some sweet dreams this weekend!

Emily, When I was there 15+ years ago I licked the windows of an interior store on the harbor walk in Gustavia – where I first laid eyes on woven seagrass wing chairs and DIED!
Still treasuring 2 pair of xl cotton tassels with gilded tops and a gold painted round linen table cloth. Happy I did not have the $ to buy the seagrass chairs!

Linda, there is a certain flair to the items there, clothing to interiors, don't they? What a treat to have those items you bought and still adore, they sound beautiful!

I can enjoy the window shopping and enjoying the display artistry as much as making a purchase!
