The array of table linens at the Monday market in Nice was arresting. So many colors to choose from and some of the most exquisite and unique monograms. Even if they weren’t my initials, I felt each of piece was a personalized treasure. Naturally, shades of blue and white were some my favorites, but these sunny shades with elegant white monograms were a wonderful color layer.
I love the warmth they brought to my linen wardrobe.
Including these delicate blue linens with white borders.
some clean and classic white napkins,
and this sporty blue striped set, that proved to be perfect for our seaside lunches.
For the kitchen I found these charming blue and white waffle weave dish towels, each one hand embroidered with a bold B.
These fringed waffle weave towels looked a little dour, sour and forlorn when I found them in a linen stall,
but after a day in the sun they were fresh, crisp and white.
Antique linens, drenched in French history, and the colors of the sea and skies, kept our kitchen feeling beachy and sunny everyday.

love anything monogram!

Love, love, love the linens! Are you sending these home or feathering a nest in France?
So, so beautiful. The yellow is such a happy color, and of course I love the white.
Happy Tuesday.

Oh my gosh–how gorgeous! THe blue window pane napkins are so beautiful–not sure I could use them!
Sandra, love your nest feathering notion, for now, they'll come home to Seattle. We haven't found the right tree yet!
