This easy, breezy umbrella, seems to epitomize the spirit of the Palmier beach club, the fringe seems to whisper…. beach chic, beach chic…
Beneath the these thick circles of fringe one can linger, lunch and lounge.
There’s a touch of beachy elements here,
but mostly, the look is stark, white and clean.
In the restaurant and on the beach.
The art is forward and modern.
Even the fruit baskets are contemporary in design.
White is right in the bar area as well,
and like all of the other bars on this crescent stretch of sand, there is a shrine to the local rosé wine.
The food was delicious, plentiful {meaning grand portions, sharing is a good idea here}
and beautifully presented.
After lunch the lucious, lazy hedonism continues. One can hit the boutique to try on some of the temptations from the lunchtime fashion show.
Or visit the chi-chi little salon, with an outdoor washing station, no less.
Or grab a paper,
and a little more rosé
and head to the beach for some sun, a swim and maybe a little snooze.
The proprietors of the club have definitely infused the club with a wash of their personal spirit. Stephanie’s tattoo is a reference to the album by Seattle’s Nirvana, meaning, in her words “get over it, relax, it doesn’t really matter” …they are all about enjoying life and not sweating the little stuff.
I’ll try keep that message in mind as I head back to reality.
Au revoir Rivera!
