I just had to stop my car and take a photo of this sign. I am guessing this is a young driver and that her parents may have encouraged her to reach out to the Hillside community, but still, how refreshing.
As we watch some leaders of our society behave astonishingly badly, it’s nice to see someone take accountability for their actions and say those healing words “I’m sorry” and “Thank you”.

Love this – I've never ever seen this sort of public apology before. Good for Alexis – she gets brownie points in my book!!
Good for the driver and good for the parents — I'm betting that you are correct and that they encouraged the confession. Great example of accountability and hopefully a lifetime of good manners!
humbling, honest and darling …. xx
What a great example of taking responsibility. I hope my kids never do this but if they do I will remember this as a way to help them make amends!
