Le Petite Dejeuner in the Citrus Grove

High on the hills above Nice and the Mediterranean Sea is a medieval town called St. Paul de Vence.

Here, there is a hotel called Le Hameau, where many artists, including Marc Chagall, have spent time over the years.

Each morning, weather permitting, a buffet breakfast is served beneath the umbrellas in the citrus grove.

 

In and amongst the citrus one might also find roses, figs and an apple cake;
