Au Revoir, Chamonix

Team Turquoise Ptarmigans
Tommorrow, we leave Chamonix and head for the huts, the huts of the Haute Route, to be exact.  The Haute Route is one of the oldest routes across a range of mountains.   I am going with a group of women, called Team Turquoise Ptarmigans.  We will be following the Verbier version of the Haute Route, if the weather allows, from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland.  In advanced I have written posts so you can come along for the planned tour.
For a trip such as ours, (or for the splendid picnic) in the town of Chamonix, there are several stores where one could buy food for such an adventure.   We’ve decided to rely on the huts we’ll be staying at each night for our meals, given that our turquoise packs are filled with all the gear we need on our tour.  If we had the room, here is where we would shop and what we would bring…

Charcuterie
Foie Gras and Pate
Cheeses
Garnishes
Beverages
Chocolates
Sweet Breads and Bon Bons
Digistives
A bientot!
