I recently had the chance to host a “SIP and SEE” to introduce my friends to my beautiful grandson, Willy V. To keep it easy I decided I wanted to create a charcuterie board for people to self serve, but wanted to make more personal.
I found these wooden letters on Amazon to spell out his monogram.
Using a ruler, I cutout white cardstock backgrounds to frame the letters and keep the table cloth clean.
Then I loaded them up with treats. I used small heart shaped cookie cutters and slices of Tillamook cheese to create the sweet cheese pieces.
Cured meats were rolled up and secured with pearl tipped cocktail picks to make them finger food easy.
Have you tried the Blue Diamond Pecan crackers? They are delicious, as are triscuits, always.
Other treats include Macrona almonds, cornichons, cherry tomatoes, grapes, blueberries, golden ground cherries and pinches of prosciutto ham.
Also on the table was sliced roasted turkey breast, rolls, mayo, mustard and cranberry sauce for people to make their own sandwiches. For something sweet, silver footed candy dishes were filled with meringues, caramels, chocolate covered nuts and cookies. I put cheese twists in antique silver baby cups and put some classic baby books on the table to set the tone.
Sprigs of fresh herbs were the finishing touch.
Welcome to the world sweet Willy V!!
