It’s hard to believe that it was just over a year ago that we arrived at the fabulous Siam hotel in Bangkok, completely oblivious as to what was to come, how our vocabulary and wardrobe choices would change and that facemasks would become a fashion and political statement, just to name a few changes.
Looking back at the images, it seems like a fantasy to be able to walk the streets of a foreign land and to wander into such an aesthetically pleasing hotel steeped in exotic traditions, sweetened with art deco touches.
So, for those of you craving travel as much as I am, please join me for a stroll around this treasure of Bangkok.
Imagine scents of greenery, jasmine and marigolds
and the sounds of rushing water.
