I love shipping off boxes of bounty to surprise someone who is far away. Halloween has always been a favorite holiday for our family so I wanted to send some spooky stuff off to my Cajun Princess for this special day. I felt like I hit the home that serves the big candy bars at World Market {and, no, I am not getting compensated for this post}, so I wanted to share the tricks and treats I found in case you need to get into the spirit for a festive All Hallows Eve.
Here is what I collected in my bucket:
This funky fascinator with a spider topper could dress up even the dullest of duds for the evening.
The “Boo Y’all” napkins seemed perfect for a southern destination; I thought the paper Halloween blowers would make perfect party favors, and every girl needs some Supernatural Zombie protection, especially on Halloween.
If you’ve been visiting me here for awhile, you know that no Halloween is complete without plenty of fragrant green Hedge Apples {or Osage Oranges} and Quince; These cans of Ste. Chappelle Spritz in Wild Huckleberry and Blood Orange seemed to be the perfect portable refreshment for a night of Trick-or-Treating; and the Kitty Cat sunglasses with the hanging whiskers were just to witty to leave behind.
I find the easiest way to ship these days is through good old USPS. Can you believe I squeezed all of this stuff into one of their Medium “if it fits it ships” boxes {yes, it was bulging at the seams, but they accepted it}. I keep a supply of the boxes on hand. When I need to ship something I pack it up, go to my account and print out a label and then the mailman picks it up or I drop it at the post office.
Some of the other treats I included are Caramel Candy Corn Popcorn Crunch, a Clementine Basil Candle, Smoked Sardines {she loves them}, String Confetti, and a Kinderegg and her BALLOT {to help keep the real life terrors away}! Also, this darling light up card.
I’m not sure what I’ll be doing on Halloween but I will probably be wearing this Bone Daddy Hat, also from World Market. You really should look at their Halloween selection {and not just because it is all on sale now} they have some very witty things. I may have to go back in for the Howling Wolf Rug, and the black and gold scarab vase.
What do you have planned for Halloween? Any special decoration ideas you’d like to share?
I’ll be posting some more Halloween inspiration soon, but for now, this pumpkin is signing off.
Hope you have a spooky weekend!
