I just love the look of a field of daffodils, so sunny and bright with that lovely, sweet, subtle scent. To create a whimsical “field of daffodils” look for the recent tea party I raided my cupboards to find all of the fabulous
old teapots, creamers, sugar bowls, and various underused, classic table accessories that have accumulated over the years.
After dusting them off and filling them with fresh, cool water I used my 1-2-3 method to create some cheerful arrangements for the tables. For the first step, I filled the containers with stems of boxwood for fresh green color, structure and support.
Then arranged stems of daffodils into the “holes” between the boxwood stems {step 2},
For a final, unique touch {step 3} I stuffed moistened Spanish Moss around the perimeter of the arrangement, allowing a few sultry tendrils to drape down the sides of the containers.
Daffodils can be a very affordable way to decorate when you buy them in bulk in season. Sometimes you may come across Daffodils looking closed and the stems may not be in water, but please don’t let that discourage you.
Because once you buy them and put them in water and a warm environment, they will start to burst open and emit their beguiling fragrance.
Wishing you a happy weekend
and daffodil fields forever!!
