In addition to the factory in Grasse, there is a factory in Eze {just above ma maison}, where they also offer tours and have a gift shop with all of their artfully packaged, fragrant items. I stocked up on hostess gifts here a couple of months ago, but I must say my closet is a bit depleted, so I was happy to have a chance to “restock” in Grasse.

I adore these wonderful lemon soaps, they are shaped like the fruit and smell just like a fresh picked lemon.
Every year Fragonard focuses on a different flower from the region, this year they have celebrated the Violette. The scent of this Eau de toilette is as delicate and fresh as these lovely purple petals would be in a large sunny meadow after a rainstorm.
It seems that liquid soaps have become more popular that bars these days, but I still love a beautifully milled, shaped and packaged bar or box of bars.
These are egg shaped soaps, packaged in an egg carton, love that label.
What do you use in your powder room?
Next years flower is Lily of the Valley, I am hoping to stock up in January before coming home.
While they have perfumes in beautiful bottles, which are perfect for gifts and vanities. They sell perfume products in the metal vaporisateur alu doré. Protected from light and air, these scents last much longer that those in clear glass or in a bottle with a removable stopper.
Practical as the vaporisateur alu doré may be, I couldn’t resist this gorgeous bottle of Belle de Nuit, our favorite, and, actually, everyones favorite, it has been their top selling perfume for years. It is composed of mirabilis, violet, geranium, rose, plum, musk and wood.
I find teens are always hard to shop for, so I think their line of scents for the “mademoiselles” would make a fun gift for any teens on your list who enjoys perfumes. Mademoiselle Fragonard Riviera “Bringing to mind memories of the Riviera, this eau de toilette sparkles with its bergamot orange and violet leaf top note, blooming into an orange blossom, rose and blackcurrant middle note and lasting into a vanilla back note”, and Mademoiselle Fragonard Paris “An olfactory stroll along the banks of the Seine and around the flower market, this fruity eau de toilette offers a mandarin and neroli top note, exhaling a heart of Arabian jasmine, magnolia and orange blossom on a back note of sandalwood and musk with a touch of peach” are both popular and can be bought with these colorful pouches.

Most of the scents can be found in a variety of products {lotions, bath gels, solids, room sprays, candles, etc.}.
I know it’s hard to buy scents without smelling them, so here is a list of the blended scents my daughter and I like most {in addition to Belle de Nuit}, we bought a boxed set of vaporisateur alu doré perfumes with this marvelous mix:
Fragonard… a blend of bergamot, mandarin, petitgrain, galbanum, hyacinth, lily, honeysuckle, jasmine, wood, amber and musk.
Éclat…freesia, saffron, orange blossom, frangipani flower, gardenia, marshmallow{yes, marshmallow, I don’t quite get that but…}, patchouli, amber, and musk.
Étoile.. bergamot, lemon, apple, ginger, gardenia, lily of the valley, jasmine, cedar, wood, amber and musk.
Émilie {not just because of the name…though I really wanted to like it} orange blossom, rose, jasmine, violet, lily of the valley, amber and sandalwood.
Maman Chérie… bergamot, blackcurrant, lily of the valley, rose, magnolia, freesia, musk and vanilla.
et
Juste un baiser {just a kiss}… mandarin, violet and pear top notes. followed with blackberry, flowers and fraise de bois, with a finish of amber, vanilla and musk.
