I was rushing off to my tennis match early Saturday morn when I saw this colorful line of umbrellas wrapping around the block in the Madrona neighborhood.
“Ahhh…the glassybaby seconds sale, no wonder all of these people are waiting in the rain”, thought I.
I didn’t have high hopes when I had the chance to stop by the factory on my way home a few hours later, but I thought I’d take a look around. There were still alot of people.
And there were still quite a few drinky babies,
and glassbabies,
each one beautiful with their perfect imperfections.
I’ll bet these raincoat yellow babies would have been more popular if all of Seattle weren’t so sick of wearing their raincoats, still, in the middle of JUNE!!!
I felt pretty lucky to walk away with this pretty little set of drinky babies in shades of pale golden and frosty white. I love the drinkies for the beautiful colors and also for the hunky way they fit in your hand. They’re not dainty, yet they are so elegant and each one is truly a work of art.
