Okay, this combination may sound weird, but with peaches at their peak, I keep thinking of all sorts of ways to incorporate them into my daily diet. I’ve been making this tasty little breakfast bowl lately. It offers an exciting combination of flavors and textures, it’s quick prepare, and it’s healthy, what else do you need to start your day?
To make this dish~delish I wash and slice one ripe peach and put the slices in a small bowl. Then I top the peaches with crumbled feta cheese, pieces of walnuts, fresh chopped parsley, fresh ground pepper and a drizzle of good olive oil. I know, it sounds odd, but it is really good! I hope you have a chance to try it and let me know what you think. I find this combination of sweet, savory and salty to be a real winner!
Speaking of winners, I am happy to announce the winner of the Social Q’s book….
It is Linda, from Design In My View. Linda lives in California and her blog is primarily filled with fresh and innovative views on design. She also throws in some other interesting notions, and I must say some are quite tasty, like her tempting recipe for a refreshing basil martini. If you haven’t visited her blog yet, I strongly suggest that you do, soon.
Congratulations Linda! Please send me your mailing address, so I can send it to Philip, so he can send you your personalized copy of Social Q’s, email@example.com.
As much as I always wish everyone could win, I was pleased that Linda’s name was drawn, because I owe her a long overdue mention of gratitude. Linda kindly gave Splendid Market The Liebster Blog award recently.
Thank you, Linda for this wonderful honor.
I also want to send a THANK YOU to Foodista for choosing Splendid Market for their drink blog after trying my coffee frappe recipe. Have you ever used Foodista? It’s an incredible resource
for recipes and all things related to food. You can find many of the Splendid Market recipes there!
And now, I am off. My next post will be from a foreign land.
